To ask somebody who you don't know, or you have respect for (sombody older, an official, etc.), use 'Sir' (Polish: pan) or 'Madame' (pani). For somebody who you know (in your age, position), or a kid, you can use direct form 'you'.

Where are you going? (to man)
Dokad pan idzie? (DOH-kont pahn EE-ds'e?)
Where are you going? (to woman)
Dokad pani idzie? (DOH-kont PAH-nee EE-ds'e?)
Where are you going? (to friend/kid)
Dokad idziesz? (DOH-kont EE-ds'esh?)
